The first "Natural Orifice Endoscopy Course," organized by The One Medical in collaboration with YU-KIRIN Technology Trading Co., Ltd., Flying Wings International Co., Ltd., and Chan Yih Trading Co., Ltd., was successfully held at the Boss center in Kaohsiung. This course featured Dr. Hsu Li-Han as the lecturer, providing participants with an in-depth explanation of relevant theoretical concepts. At the beginning of the course, Dr. Hsu provided a detailed introduction to the anatomical structures of various natural orifices. Then he shared insights on how to correctly select the appropriate endoscopic tools. Finally, he delved deeper into practical cases and key operational techniques for the clinical applications of natural orifice endoscopy. During the course, Dr. Hsu also shared some practical tips for endoscopic procedures. For instance, when performing ear canal endoscopy on cats or dogs, he recommended positioning the animal in a lateral recumbent posture. This provides a more stable operating angle, facilitating the completion of more complex examinations or surgeries and improving both precision and efficiency. In the afternoon's hands-on session, we prepared sheep heads, pig stomachs, and pig lungs for participants to practice. Dr. Hsu first demonstrated using a gastroscope with All-in-One Processor to explore the pig's stomach; using a 2.8mm reusable endoscope to examine the larynx, esophagus, and tracheobronchial area; and using a Multipurpose Rigid Electronic Endoscope to inspect the sheep's ear canal and nasal passages. After the demonstration, participants were given the opportunity to operate the endoscopes themselves. Throughout the session, they actively asked questions, showing great enthusiasm. With Dr. Hsu's detailed explanations, it is believed that the participants gained a deeper understanding of endoscopic techniques and their clinical applications. Among the discussions, participants showed great interest in our reusable endoscopes and Multipurpose Rigid Electronic Endoscope. The primary reason was that, compared to gastroscopes, the reusable endoscope is much lighter and easy to operate. Additionally, our Multipurpose Rigid Electronic Endoscope features an integrated light source and camera, eliminating the need for an external light cable. The paired sheath is smooth, providing protection for the lens while also safeguarding the animal's tissues. A heartfelt thank you to all the veterinarians who took the time to participate today, as well as to our distributor, YU-KIRIN Technology, for their hard work in preparing the animal specimens, delicious pastries, and the comforting red bean soup~
