Some donations are more than just donations from the very beginning.
This time, The One Medical Co., Ltd., in collaboration with Pingyi Yaotian Temple, donated four video laryngoscope systems to the Third Emergency and Rescue Corps of the New Taipei City Fire Department. What made this initiative truly meaningful, however, was not only the delivery of the equipment, but also the conversations we had with frontline responders that day.
On site, we listened to their daily experiences and gained a deeper understanding of what it truly means to race against time. They shared that New Taipei City has an unusually high number of water-related incidents, which often requires first responders to perform airway management and life-saving procedures within extremely limited timeframes when dealing with drowning or critically ill patients.
At that moment, we realized more clearly than ever—
medical equipment is not merely a collection of specifications and features. What truly matters is whether it can be trusted and relied upon at critical moments.
The purpose of a video laryngoscope is to provide clearer, faster, and safer airway management. Yet when placed in the hands of frontline responders, it carries far more than just technology—it represents an added margin of confidence in life-or-death situations.
We hope these devices will not simply remain on the shelf,
but will be actively used, trusted, and relied upon when the moment calls for it—
becoming a vital support in emergency care.
We would also like to extend our sincere appreciation to Pingyi Yaotian Temple for their partnership in this initiative, turning goodwill into meaningful and tangible action.
For The One Medical, stepping into the frontline and understanding real-world needs has never been a one-time effort, but an ongoing commitment. Only by truly understanding these needs can we ensure that our products fulfill their most important purpose—to make a difference when they are needed most.
Every emergency call is a moment that cannot be repeated.
What we can do is to be fully prepared beforehand.
Putting critical equipment in the hands of those who need it most—
this is not just a statement, but the direction we will continue to pursue.
