From Theory to Hands-On: Enhancing Clinical Skills through Natural Orifice Endoscopy — Taichung Session Successfully Concluded

Co-hosted by The One Medical and our distribution partner Flying Wings International, and led by experienced clinician Dr. Li-Han Hsu, the Natural Orifice Endoscopy Training Course was successfully held in Taichung this March. The course received enthusiastic feedback from participants. Whether they were beginners new to endoscopy or experienced veterinarians looking to refine their surgical techniques, all attendees walked away with valuable knowledge and skills.

The morning session focused on foundational theory. Dr. Hsu guided the participants through anatomical structures and the selection of appropriate endoscopes for different organs, helping them build a solid understanding of core concepts and clinical decision-making.

In the afternoon, the course transitioned into hands-on practice. Participants worked with simulated organ models to mimic real-life animal cavities, allowing them to operate the equipment directly and reinforce their technical proficiency through repeated exercises. The practical setting helped boost their confidence in applying what they learned in actual clinical situations.

This course emphasized a clear goal: “Understand it, and be able to do it.” With comprehensive instruction and realistic simulation, it bridged the gap between knowledge and practice, enabling learners to bring these techniques into their daily work.
