THE ONE MEDICAL was honored to donate two sets of endoscopes to the Cheetah Conservation Fund (CCF) in Somaliland, supporting their important work in wildlife rescue, veterinary care, and cheetah conservation.
Cheetahs face a range of conservation challenges, including habitat loss, human-wildlife conflict, and illegal wildlife trafficking. These pressures make professional veterinary care an important part of rescue and rehabilitation efforts.
When THE ONE MEDICAL learned that our endoscopy technology could contribute to the care of rescued cheetahs, we were glad to provide equipment support.
A Practical Solution for Resource-Limited Environments
Considering the limited medical resources and infrastructure available in the region, we selected single-use portable endoscopes for this donation.
These endoscopes do not require a large external processor or complex imaging system and can be connected directly to a computer for image display.
This portable setup can provide veterinarians with greater flexibility in selected clinical situations, including internal examination and foreign body management.
By reducing dependence on larger conventional systems, the equipment is better suited to environments where mobility, simplicity, and access to medical infrastructure may be limited.
Supporting Wildlife Veterinary Care
Wildlife medicine often involves working with different species, body sizes, and anatomical structures, making flexible diagnostic tools especially valuable.
We sincerely hope these donated endoscopes can become useful tools for the veterinary team and support their ongoing work in cheetah rescue and clinical care.
